Rifle Falls located about 180 miles from Denver. This was our first trip there. There were gorgeous water falls since it was only a couple weeks after the last heavy snow in Colorado. They had such pretty green trees. We liked it because they are one of the few dog friendly state parks in Colorado.
The caves are pretty as well. It took hundreds of years for the cave formations to be made.
There was also many hiking trails surrounding, and all of them can show you the nice nature side of Colorado. There are camping sites, too but not that many. It was a very fun and relaxing day trip!
