@26dolla On this application, yes you would need to tighten the hub bolt on your 03 Toyota Corolla to 100lbs of torque.

did u say the hub bolt is 100lbs torque? is this the same for a 03 corolla?

@1aauto Thanks for the incredibly quick reply! I agree, it should, but ocassionally it doesn't. Several have had this problem. I suspect that if the strut is worn out the strut will not offer enough resistance and just moves with the knuckle. Still, yours are the best auto repair videos.

@mikeunavailable It should come right apart as shown in the video.

thanks for this video ! it helps me with my 96contour, the part about how to remove the joint fron the trans.case was what i needed...however, at the end u didnt lock the 32 mm nut .... do i need to lock it????? george from n.c.

@georgebenfield On our vehicle there was a washer and a 30MM nut that you would need to put back on. This holds the axle to the hub. Hope this helps you out.

Do I need to remove the full axle to replace just the CV joint? Or can I replace this while the axle is still attached to the transmission?
sseeker21 1 month ago
@sseeker21 You would need to remove the axle from the transmission. Usually it's easier to just replace the axle.
