Anthony Bass - Street Magic Vol. 1

Part one of my street magic series.

For the past couple of months, me and ACP (Around the Corner Productions) have been shooting and editing my newest video, Street Magic Vol. 1. The video is about eight and a half minutes long, and contains four of my favorite tricks, and special guest Jack Sparrow. I titled it "Vol. 1" because I will definately be uploading more street magic. You didn't think I was gonna leave you with just this did you? There will be at least 3 more videos after Vol. 1 with more of my favorite material.

Every video in this series will be my self performing magic in different cities in Texas. This video was show in Addison, Texas.

There's a pretty funny story behind this video. No, it was not Halloween. That's not why there were people dressed as pirates. Actually, it was the weekend before Halloween. Addison, Texas held World Fest on that day. No, me and my crew did not know about it. We just decided to go film some magic in Addison that day, and there happened to be a billion people there (75% of which were different cultures, and didn't speak english). Right when we're about to call it a day and stop shooting, we run in to Jack Sparrow. I spotted him from across the street and had to show him magic. I wouldn't have been able to sleep that night if I didn't. All I had was a deck of cards. I left all my other magic materials in a backpack which one of my crew members was carrying, but they fell behind. All I could work with was a deck of cards. So I decided to go for the frist trick that popped in my head. And it worked out great. Good times.

I think i'm still the same skill level as I was in this video. But these aren't the only illusions I know. I have TONS of material. I just have a hard time deciding which effects to include in my videos. I did some simple ones in this video to show how hard they hit. I do plan on making more videos. I pitched the idea to the person who helped produce this video and we're still in the planning process. But be expecting more from me. And thanks!

Okay you seriously have skill man. the pirate dude made me laugh. i in fact have a street magic special but it is so ameture that it doesn't even compare to yours. i did some coin tricks though but with the quality of the camera, you could barely see it. i really want to see vol. 2. if i can suggest something though, add coins and other illusions. believe it or not, you are the first street magician ive ever seen with sponge balls. but other than that, you are way better than me. keep tricking.

Thanks, man! I do still plan on doing maybe 4 volumes of street magic, and I will be throwing some different types of illusions in there. And I always get awesome reactions with sponge balls. They're cooler than some people may think.

Very nice dude, very nice. I love to see fellow magicians perform in public, I've wanted to do a street magic video for a while but I don't have the guts to perform for strangers. When I started the video I was thinking "huh not bad, some nice double lifts and card manipulations" but then I got pretty drawn in, you've got alot of skill in your slight of hand abilities.

I see you watch a lot of ellusionist dvds brad christinansen, and houchin
