You can't just compare points before and after the trade... we traded Camby and Wallace, our offense got WORSE, not better (and part of the offense getting worse had to do with the defense getting worse and producing fewer fast break opportunities). If the guards had shot before like they are shooting now, there wouldn't have been a trade. I like your videos, but that point didn't seem very well thought-out.

I did think about that. I agree that Camby and Wallace had some effect on the offense. But the effect wasn't dominant enough to make me retract the point. In particular I don't buy that losing Camby and Wallace made the offense inherently that much worse. Defense? Yeah. But I find it a legitimate point that this new, looser, guard-oriented offense is not producing more points than the old one that was deemed stagnant and predictable.

Right on, I appreciate the response. The videos are getting better. Maybe someday you will unban me? :-) Being banned will never keep me away from reading blazers edge anyway, so in the end that part doesn't matter too much. But I do miss participating.

Let's be honest: the only way to get a superstar for a small-market team is through the draft. This should be obvious. Free agency and trades are for adding the final pieces when the foundation is already there. Do the Blazers really think they have the foundation in place?
