@bohany Pay attention at time 0.36. Tori is pulling uke's right arm with his right arm. In the same time, tori's left arm is twisting uke's elbow forcing him to fall. As for not stepping in, try this experiment. With your left hand, grab wrist of your right hand and twist it inside. Try stepping forward.... Now, imagine that that twisting is caused by 150-250lbs tori falling. Nasty techique is done right. You are right. It can be countered by uke following tori instead of resisting. I think :-)

@bohany U lift em off their feet and this is a advance trick if u are throwing some goofy fuck on the street the basic stuff works much better the advance is to trick advance fighters its a Sport not just only for in reall life defense

Wouldn't the guy getting thrown simply collapse into side mount or knee on belly? I would understand if the thrower posts one foot on the far leg or hip, then toss to prevent a mount, side mount, or knee on belly. Could someone enlighten me on how this technique works without lightning speed?

No Ude-gaeshi.

Esta es una forma de Yoko-wakare, ya que falta el control del brazo. That is a form of Yoko-wakare and your free arm.

Imagine hitting the concrete like that!
@crossfire1129 In Sport Judo the only real difference is that when applying Ude Gaeshi the technique focuses on one arm of uke and in Yoko Wakare you take a natural grip. In actual application Ude Gaeshi utilizes an arm lock to motivate your opponent to throw themselves to avoid a break like Kota Gaeshi in Aikido. Obviously with Sport rules one can not armlock and throw so that is why they look very similar. Ude Gaeshi is my Tokuiwaza.
