i'm shocked .. you have to be an engineer with special equipment just to change the f... battery .. what idiots buy an Iphone !!! changing battery on my HTC takes 5 seconds .. i think .. 'cause i never had a need for changing it :-)

for those who have a problem of restore loop, its not a software issue but rather its a hardware issue. i had the same problem and i have tried everything on the net and nothing worked. then i opened my iphone3gs back and re-installed cable cables1,2 and 3. the problem was in cable3, it was not installed properly.

note: you need to lift up that white thingy for cable 3 to be installed properly. i did not know how open cable3 and i broke(black part) it, but luckily it still works

Good on the whole. Screen label of steps sometimes obscures the action. Would have appreciated a slower and narrated reassembly. Thanks!

Putting it together is definetly the hardest part of the process. The camera was a big pain. trying to get it to sit right. then that little piece of metal that the screw goes through kept falling off so i turned the video on to see how it was supposed to go back on but they sped up the video on that part. Thankfully I got it back together and it worked. I dont understand why apple would make it so difficult to change a battery.
