Knicks vs Spurs 2012: Greg Popovich Sits Stars for Most of Game, New York Coasts to Double-Digit Win

The San Antonio Spurs fell to 26-9 and into a three-way tie atop the Western Conference after dropping a 100-83 decision to the New York Knicks on Thursday night. In what appeared to be a classic night of coasting for Gregg Popovich's squad (none of their Big Three played more than half the game), the Knicks were able to pull away in the
second half. Carmelo Anthony was aided by J.R. Smith and Steve Novak off the bench as the three combined to score 58 points on the evening. 35 year old rookie Pablo Prigioni chipped in with 9 dimes and Tyson Chandler, as usual, dominated defensively and on the glass as the Knicks improved to 22-10.
