Hedy Epstein, recalls the social climate of pre-WWII Germany, the fate of her family, the formation of Israel, and the journey of empathy that brought her into the Free Gaza movement. The message of "us together" rather than "us and them" couldn't be delivered by a more qualified and articulate person.

Produced by the Exploring Documentary major of Missouri Scholars Academy 2010.

  • I hear your cynicism, BishiSab, but I fear we won't have better communities and lives until we can share a positive vision. I think Hedy's vision, destroying the sense of otherness and thinking only in terms of "us together" rather than "us and them" is refreshing, just, and beautiful.

We can't work toward something better if we are stuck on the idea that humans are inherently wicked. I think, we're more complex than that and in need of good honest leadership toward a shared positive vision.

  • ´The Begining of acknolagments !? Nothing is going to happen. We are not going to have a better world until first of all people learn not to be people anymore ! Why ?Because people around the world are people. That means if a white man comes to their part everything will start from scratch!? We have to learn to show respect for our own culture than some destructive people far away....!!?

  • Looks Great! Good job guys!
