Kinderkrankenhaus, Berlin-Weißensee August 2010

Short documentary on the former infants' and children's hospital in Berlin-Weissensee
The hospital had its own cow farm, dairy, and machinery. The farm closed in 1920, and a new infirmary was added in 1987.
The hospital itself was closed in January 1997. Since then the building the building has developed into an El Dorado for graffiti sprayers -- an abandoned, neglected, weathered place.
Nobody seems to care for this beautiful area, although it was sold to a group of investors in 2006. Apparently, the construction plans for an alternative cancer center to be built there have been on the block since then. We will see, I suppose...

So, ich hab mich schnell angemeldet, weil ich Dir einen Daumen hoch geben möchte! Ein ganz tolles Video hier von Dir. Gut zusammengestellt und ganz toll mit dieser Musik hinterlegt!

Ich hab grad das Gefühl, jetzt, wo ich diesen Komplex betreten und fotografiert habe, dieses Video sehe..."da geht man doch nochmal ganz anders rein"...vor allem, wenn man auch noch die HIntergründe dieses Krankenhauses weiß...LG
