From the PBS series Great Cars. The envelope, please. After years of rigorous debate, hand wringing and international lobbying by fans, automakers and government officials, a jury of automotive historians, museum curators and journalists decided what were the most significant cars ever created. We'll take a look at the fabulous cars that made a difference in quality, styling, power and engineering. Ferraris, Duesenbergs, Jaguars and Corvettes will be judged against the Model T, the VW Bug and the Mini. It's an automotive shoot out that will be combined with the fascinating tales of how these cars came to life. The World's Greatest, will explore how our experts narrowed their list to the top five autos and finally reached the decision to confer the automotive crowns.

World greatest car is the Fiat 124, more than 20 million units bult

spreaded over the biggest surface of the world

still in production..... as LADA

designed in the early 60 it had already a monocoque framework safer lighter and more sturdy when other cars were still bolted on a subframe see Vw beetle renault R3 etc...

and a heater who didn't used hot filty air from the engine but a lil inside water radiator with a van for clean hot air :)
