lol Istanbul is not the capital! it's Ankara

well unfortunately, it's a mistake made by a variety of reporters who are (self?)claimed mid east experts. You can't even put Turkey firmly in the mid eastern spot because Turks are very different than Arabs and just like the Urals "separate" Europe from Asia, Taurus mounts separate Turkey from the middle east and the actual, historical Istanbul as a city, is entirely on continental Europe. The recent growth of the city made it a cross-continental city, that's all.

The sulaymaniyya mosque was actually built in the 1500s, not in the 14th century.

Turks and Arabs have many similarities. religion is large part of that similarity. Most turks are conditioned to think, behave and live like the arabs because of the common religion. Turks appear little different cause of the amendments Ataturk introduced. Also, a lot of Turks are european wanna beeeeeeeeees!

While we took some poetic license by grouping Istanbul in a Middle Eastern themed video, we are guilty as charged on the subject of Turkey's capital. It is not Istanbul, but Ankara. Our excuse? We were so dazzled by Istanbul that we lost our heads! Luckily you guys are on the ball and able to set things straight. Thanks! :-)
