Designed for a Cure is a powerful evening where science and fashion come together to celebrate the beauty of life and cancer survival. Nearly 600 people filled the Moore Building in Miami's Design District on Nov. 11, 2009, to raise more than $250,000 for cancer research at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of UHealth - University of Miami Health System. The fundraiser centered around a dozen Sylvester patients escorting their doctors and nurses down the runway.
