Alvis Rojas, 17, Brooklyn High School for the Arts
My father came back into my life, and for a time things were fine. We didnt talk. We didnt see each other: the normal father-son relationship. Then, one day he was gone forever. Theres a problem with grave robbing in the Dominican Republic where my father was buried. So, before he was laid to rest, my family defaced his coffin with hammers, beating it ninety-nine times. This film is dedicated to Ramon Rojas, The greatest man I never knew. Running Time: 7:55. Mentor: Stuart Dworeck.

  • haha i was there for alvis' all black stage. i havnt seen this movie in three years and now that i'm watching it again, i see that there is no conclusion. or is there? i dont know i'm confused and tired. what is the movie about?, alvis' fathers death or how alvis feels about him. i guess there is some development when alvis says"maybe i do care" never the less definitely best editing ever from the lab. the movie is just a reflection of alvis' fiction orientated mind. nothing i said makes sense.
