Read my comment closely, after making all 3 end quests available this one needs to be done first otherwise it closes after clearing the Neutral or Evil end quests.

Yes, the Minstrel is Elore.
This scene is totally awesome in the English version as well. And it was made more awesome in the way that Jamil was a total dick to the father of all gods.

He pretty much says, he did not know that the strain of confinement would allow Saruin to become stronger, that the Fatestones threw the world into turmoil. However he refuses to fight Saruin because the last time gods fought, there was no life remaining in Mardias.

Sadly you must do this quest first after getting making all 3 Ending Quests accessible, This quest, Giant's of Ettinham and the Netherworld. If you don't and just do the Giant's or the Netherworld, the Trials close. The only valuable ones are this quest and the giants quest. Death only tells you where Saruin is, he doesn't give you squat unless you sacrifice party members for weapons/armor.
