@RemusN7 I think lots of musicians not just bass players need to listen to victor wootens approach to music.
He basically states that we learn music in a wrong way.
Instead of reading how to write and how to play first, we need to learn how to play and then learn how to write(look up the video).
It's like a baby, a baby learns to speak by mimicking first, then learns how to read and write.
We approach music in a wrong aspect, in that sense. I'm paraphrasing of course.
