  • Here's a challenge for NewmanNewsman...Kelly Craig was proposed to on air after a newscast one night around this time, like 1990 or 1991. I don't have the exact date, but if you can find it, it would be cool to see that again. Also, still would like to see some 4 News Now footage or open.

  • I've found some 4 news now clips, but I think I might have more somewhere else. I'll see if I can post what i have this weekend.

  • that horse story was a waste of everybodys time.

  • The small talk between the anchors is pretty painful... "Good night steve...good night teresa"

  • NBC: The Place to Be in the sliding peacock graphics (KSNF Joplin, MO is known to have used them in a promo dated to 1994!). Soon (as in at least under three weeks!) WTVJ would debut its modified version of those graphics with Watch Our Team Work.

  • @KarasuInugami This is from the Sun-Sentinel (9/26/1990):

"Federal authorities are investigating allegations that some Broward Sheriff's Office deputies were involved in the sale and use of drugs, were provided with prostitutes and protected a drug dealer who worked with them."

One of my (lame?) hobbies is trying to attach dates to old news clips like these ... I use the NewsBank database to assist me.

I'm not 100% accurate ... but I'd dare say I'm pretty good at it.

  • @KarasuInugami Actually, I'm pretty sure this aired on Tuesday, September 25, 1990.

This is from the Miami Herald (9/26/1990):

"Metro commissioners agreed Tuesday to spend $16.5 million to build a 7,500-seat tennis stadium on Key Biscayne, a decision four years in the making designed to keep the Lipton International Players Championships in Dade County for the next 30 years."

  • Has Sarah Williams ever been on a horse? She seems like she likes to sit around and yell at the children. Anyone who loves horses usually would rather ride than watch.

  • i ride there 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hunting Horn=<3

  • thats where i ride!!!

  • Bryan Norcross looked just like he did during the "hurricane andrew" Vid. A man truly worthy of being called a top weatherman.
