Recently, Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper, with the help of others put in a rain garden at the public Library on Elmwood Ave. In Buffalo, NY in order to help preserve some of the rain runoff from bottling up our public sewer system and dumping unnecessary sewage and waste into our fresh water.
They also introduced Rain Barrels, an important way for residents of Buffalo, Erie, and Niagara Counties to save water and reduce the amount of polluted runoff entering our streams, creeks, rivers, and Lake Erie. Buffalo Niagara RIVERKEEPER has a goal of distributing 1000 rain barrels annually to Erie and Niagara Counties. Help us Keep the Rain from the Drain!
