In this tutorial we will show you how to hook up your wireless router ( or just wired) to your existing broadband internet connection ( dsl, cable, fiber etc.). this is the first part to a many part series. And in this part we focus on the hardware that you will be dealing with in this process

  • Will it work with my old BEFW11S4?

  • @Arlen10 yes

  • Excellent!! Exactly what I needed!! Hey, you mention a switch at some point. When would hook up a switch rather than piggyback another router? Or a bridge, I've also heard of... Thanks!!

  • @AlloBruxelles to keep it simple a router is only needed to connect two different networks, your isp to your own network. if you just want to connect more systems to your network ( because your router has no more open ports) use a switch. if you have more than on isp, ex cable and dsl use another router
