I show you step by step how to master a song in a BASIC format with LOGIC PRO 9

Please message me if you have any questions and I'll be happy to answer.

I'm an Apple Certified Pro on "Logic Pro 9" so if you need to know how to do something in Logic Pro 9 I'm a great guy to ask! :p

Thanks!

FAQ's:

1.) How do you get the track to look like you did in this video? -WATCH MY VIDEO "HOW TO EXPORT TO MASTER"

2.) Is the multipressor available in Logic Express? -NOT FULLY, IT IS ONLY AVAILABLE IN FULL IN LOGIC PRO 9

3.) Aren't you killing the dynamics by over compressing? -I DID THIS AS AN EXAMPLE TO SHOW HOW OVERCOMPRESSED SONGS LOOK WHEN THEY ARE AS LOUD AS THEY POSSIBLY CAN BE. YOU SHOULD NEVER COMPRESS YOUR SONG SO IT LOOKS LIKE A BLOCK. THERE SHOULD ALWAYS BE VARIATIONS IN WAVEFORMS,COMPRESSION RATIOS AND OVERALL LIMITING FOR DYNAMIC CONTRAST! PLEASE DON'T OVER COMPRESS YOUR SONGS TO LOOK LIKE A BLOCK!!

  • this video would be a lot better if u showed the masterd version of the song right after you showed the unmastered version..

  • "Remember to master with your ears and not with your eyes"

    - From all the videos I have watched about mastering, this has to be the best advice I've heard, as it's probably one of the things I (and probably a lot of people) fail to do, as I tend to prefer looking at the visual response from the program.

Thanks for a great video, this has really been very enlightening! =)

  • Great Video. One question though - everything was sounding nice before i involved the adlimiter. follows your instructions and then digital distortion! What do i need to change?

    (Nothing's in the red)

  • @yanidy Hi have you tried to adjust the latency? for mastering you don't need the same fast response as you may need when composing. Greets from holland :)

  • @TheDeathMetalMaster U need to really take a look at your system. He's not running that many plugins.

  • Am I the only person who does not like the Multipressor?

  • @TheDeathMetalMaster Pentium 4 and 512mb of ram should be able to do what he is doing

  • utorrent? lol

  • u rad.

  • Please add the subtitles!!! It's very interesting but sometimes not so clear for non-americans...
