This is a video on how to make pigs in a blanket from scratch. Pigs in a blanket are hot dogs wrapped in a dough then baked. It's great with kids, inexpensive, and easy!

Recipe

Ingredients for the dough:
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tbsp white sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1.5 tbsp butter or margerine (non-salted)
3/4 cup milk

Preheat oven to 400F. Line a cookie sheet with tinfoil, shiny side up.

Combine the butter, sugar, and flour using a wire whisk or pastry cutter. Cut the butter into the flour until it is the size of a small pea. Add the remaining ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon until combined. Roll out onto a floured surface and cut into triangles or strips. Wrap each hot dog with the dough and place onto the cookie sheet. Bake for 13 minutes or until golden on the bottom.

Serve with your favourite sauces. We like ketchup.
