hi Rachel..please teach me me how to pronounce the word ''Important.''
-
I have known IPA and all the major dictionaries since 1998(Oxford,longman, Webster, etc.). I understand the sound reading the symbols. My regret is that most of the native speakers do not follow IPA and kind of reduce the sound or add more in many cases which are outlandish to us. So can i say IPA kind of fooled us. the only thing good of IPA is its one-page-chart for the symbols to us. I don't touch dictionaries for pronunciation. So how will we know native way pronouncing! any full guide plz.

Hiya, Copenhagen, Denmark here, enjoying and learning, thanks :)
Hi Rachel, your teaching is awesome. I work for an international B.P.O and your video sessions on American pronunciation is helping me a lot. I like the way you articulate your lips, tongue and teeth to make the appropriate sound.I am still learning a lot from your videos and I believe it would be a matter of time before I would be able to speak flawless English language.YOU have been an angel in disguise for me who yearned so much for someone who could help him in his English.Keep the good work.

hi rachel. thanks for your amazing work. it really helped me a lot. here i have two questions about pronunciation.
1, i always notice that some words don't sound like how they should do if you pronounce them by symbols, for example"bond", where the "o" doesn't sound like /ɔ/ but /a/. so does "font". is there some kinds of rule for it?
2, liaison is the main reason why i can't hear the speaking clearly, and also the skill i wanna learn, could you teach it on the video?
thanks a lot!!
