It was the shuttlecock that hit the net, not the racket, and the point goes to the opponent of the player that places the shuttlecock on the net if it stays still for more than one second. This happens extremely rarely at professional tournaments but in this case Lin Dan actually loses the point.

@crackerjack113 no 'cause it is considered as a dead ball, given the point to the opponent of lin dan. It is at rest for 1 or 2 seconds.

That does actually happen loads but I have never seen it a professional tournament! What do you do when that happens?
