  • When they say that the ship is 90.000 tonnes, this is NOT metric tonnes. It`s actually a volume measure, - or gross tonnage. 1 gross tonn = 2,83 cubic metres. The heaviest (mass) tanker ever wasn`t even 90,000 metric tonnes.
