How is it "traitorous" to talk to people who have different ideas? Has the Alaska Independence Party killed anyone? I don't know anything about them, but if they want Alaska to be independent is it illegal for them to speak about it? I think Sarah Palin was out of her league as a major candidate, but I think it's a little extreme to call her anti-American for wishing her competitors well. How about Barack Obama who wants to speak to the Iranians. Does that make him "unAmerican?"

Putin wants Mccain (Alaska the reason) Palin and her husband is (was) an Alaska Separatists. The F. Alask. Gov Walter Hickel, also a member of AKIP, was quoted "I made her [Palin] governor".... So it turns out she wanted the bridge to nowhere, advocated selling our natural gas reserves to JAPAN (now RUSSIANS are ready to buy it: google: Russian gas conglomerate visits Alaska, Russian Gas Executives Visit Palins Turf)

Whatever you think about her policies (or lack of them) Remember that Alaska is a different kind of place--I think it's great to have independently minded people. NH has "right to revolution" in their Bill of Rights! Chill out.

that the Alaska Constitution will "guide me as governor. It demands that ALASKANS COME FIRST. Our founding documents then were shaped to fulfill promises that we be self-sufficient and SELF-DETERMINED. I will unambiguously, steadfastly and doggedly guard the interests of this great state as a mother naturally guards her own"

Sarah Palin was the First Alaska Governor to be inaugurated in Fairbanks. Fairbanks is the recognized capitol of Alaska for the AIP. However, the actual State of Alaska's capitol is Juneau, which is where all other Alaska governors were sworn in.
