Camp Carl 2010: Week 4 Vlog

Just a vlog about being a camp counselor for the summer and about my life and thoughts. God quiets us so we can hear His voice. We are in connection with God as well as Christ and the Spirit.

I'm from England. What exactly does a camp counsellor do? Are you an invigilator/leader, or do you literally provide counselling?

@Omstarten A camp counselor can do many different things. The camp where I work is Christian, so some of the counselors teach Bible studies. Other counselors, like myself, lead various activities at camp. For instance, I teach archery and lead team-building games. So I guess we are leaders in that sense, but over all we "counsel" the campers by building relationships with them so we can teach them about God's love. Hope that makes sense. I'll try to explain more in my next vlog.

@BehindTheHeadline Nice one, thanks for the clarification. I wish I had had the opportunity to go to such things. In England, once the schools close for the Summer, kids are simply left to lounge around for 6 weeks, and it has always been thus.
