"Jesse"
Hello. I am Jesse, and this is my story.
I was born and raised as a fighting dog, but I wasn't one of the ambitious ones. After about a year in the act, I was abandoned. I hadn't been on the streets for long when a stray attacked me, but luckily I managed to veer him off. A few days later, a couple discovered me and treated my wounds, fed me, and cleaned my fur. I felt warm, loved, for once, but when the couple had their first child, they left me in a field to die.
I don't know how long it was before animal control found me, but it was long enough for me to be scared. I tried to fight them off, but they brought me to the shelter anyways.
I lay under the mat in my kennel, wondering why I had to be so unfortunate.
