After two days of above normal temperatures and rain the ice on the Sydenham River finally broke apart causing ice jams and local flooding in several areas. Chatham Kent declared a State Of Emergency.

  • I CANT BELEIVE PEOPLE ARE SO CLOSE..IT ONLY TAKES SCONDS FOR ICE TO BACK UP AND THEN THE WATER COMES ..WE LIVE ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE RIVER AND CAN SEE WHAT POWER A JAM HAS I LOVE WATCHING IT ""FROM A SAFE DISTANCE"'
