Chonda Pierce Shares Her Painful Memories

Besides my mother, Chonda Pierce is my hero. Chonda Pierce is so much more than just one of the most hilarious people on the planet, she isn't just a wonderful singer and songwriter, a daughter, sister, wife and mother, she is a walking inspiration, a walking testimony. A few years back I had turned my back on God, I was doing drugs, achohal, stealing, the whole nine yards. My mother was really into the gaither tapes and I actually still liked them too. I guess there was a part of me that never forgot about God and watching the tapes made me feel closer to God, even if it was just for a moment. We saw Chonda on one of the tapes and loved her, so we decided to look into her more. We bought one of her books and even had it autographed, and after reading about her life story, I was inspired to give God another try. She may never know it until we get to heaven, but in a way, it's like God brought Chonda in my life to encourage me and to draw me to the Lord.

Anyway, here she talks about the deaths of her two sisters, the absense of her earthly father, and the hope her heavenly father gave her.

I found God this week and found Chondra on the internet this week also.

I find this story really what I needed to hear there is nothing in this world that matters except what Chondra says what we will say when we meet God face to face.

I still don't know, but with the support and prayers of those I know and love maybe I will.

Everything happens for a reason. I truly believe Chondra would not be who she is now had these things not happened...It allowed her to fully and wholly put her trust in Jesus and serve him fully...Something her dad couldn't even do as a pastor...God has something for everyone....we only have to listen and obey his calling

God bless her. She's got me in tears. She so right. Sometimes it is hard to not view god as your earthly father. It's part of whats made it hard for me to trust in him. I know he loves me, but sometimes I think he'll be there for other people but not me.

It's good to be reminded he loves me and want me to bring all my troubles to him.

Congratulations on your new found faith. I can only tell you --HE is worth it. As you can see thru Chonda's stories, life as a christian is still hard sometimes, but we have the hope and assurance that these days here on earth will pass away and then we will be face to face with the ONE who loves us above all-- loves us enough that He gave his own life for us. We will have an eternity to praise Him and all this time we had here on earth and all the problems will not seem nearly so big then. PTL
