Bride Trafficking Unveiled part 2

The whole idea of mail order brides has become something of a joke, conjuring up images of sad, lonely men and their money-grabbing trophy wives. But who are the women behind the glossy photographs? How prepared are they for life in the West?
Like many Thai brides, 'Nook' came to England expecting to find her Prince Charming. Instead, she found herself married to a violent sex-addict. "The first time he hit me, I was so shocked. I couldn't believe that he could do this to me". Her vulnerable immigration status means that she cannot go to the authorities and there is little possibility of her situation improving.
'Nook's' story is not unique. In this investigation, we examine the realities of the mail-order bride business. Filming in the UK and the slums of Bangkok, we hear the stories of the women trafficked and investigate the legal loopholes that are often used by mail-order husbands to dispose of their brides or subjugate them forever.

I was the researcher who found all the interviewees on this 'documentary'. I am also the interpreter (blurred on the left on first footage).

The first girl was only paid 500 baht by Laura and Joel for the interview. The girl had originally been offered 1,000 Baht, however, Laura was adamant that since the girl had not answered (as she had hoped) 'sincerely' to her questions she gave only 500 Baht.

Yes, this interview is a total set-up. Laura and Joel made this 'documentary totally illegally.

the reporter lady sat in her taxi saying she has a good life, don't know why she would want to change. She paid more for that taxi then the girl will earn in a week.
