This is a news story of an 6th grade 11 year old boy who was tased by police because he wouldn't stop beating on a female classmate. In researching this story, I found the backstory of what happened and some facts that might change your view of the situation if you think tasing an 11 year old is wrong...

According to several news sources, including the Atlanta Journal, and the following:

http://www.realpolice.net/forums/archive/t-61499.html

The fight began at lunch when the male student took food from the female student. She became upset and told him if he was going to take her food, he needed to pay her for it. He said he would when they got back to class. When they did, he refused to pay her for the food he stole. The argument lead them to both be sent to the prinicipal's office. So that's the jist of the argument.

Now, when they were sitting in the office, the boy suddenly jumped on the girl and started punching her in the head and face.

If you notice, local news likes to sensationalize stories by either leaving some information out, or playing up things that are normal reactions or procedures to certain events such as this story.... Notice how it begins with "A WILD STORY...." Yea, wild because of the facts they left out....and "it prompted an internal police investigation" Which is what happens every time someone gets tased or punched or peppersprayed or shot or beat with a baton... It's called a use of force investigation to make sure the officer acted appropriately on a subject that was not cooperating. IT'S STANDARD PROCEDURE.

SOOOO, what this news story doesn't report, either because they left it out on purpose, or didn't have the information, was that the 11 year old boy wieghed 200 POUNDS AND WAS 6 FEET TALL, and the girl only wieghed 85 pounds. It also doesn't mention the fact that the police officer, YES A POLICE OFFICER, who's job role in the dept is SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER, tried, along with two other adults that were there, to pry this kid off the girl. He was on top of her on the ground punching her in the head and face. They could not lift him off or pull the girl away from him. SO instead of pepperspraying the kid, which would have affected everyone in the room, or using a baton to beat the kid into submission, the officer used her taser to attempt to get him off of the little girl. She tased him once... THEN he got up and attacked the little girl AGAIN!!!! She had to tase him again to get him under control. Sound like a typical easily controlled 11 year old?

I'm not for tasing small children, but this kid was no small child. Yes he was 11, but he's not a typical little 120 pound 11 year old boy. He's 200 POUNDS and 6 feet tall. He had to be tased TWICE to gain complience, that's not a typical 11 year old.

  • I'm sixteen years old, its not uncommon (at least where I live) to be like that at sixteen. I'm 6"1 and 15 stone (220 pounds). Three people are perfectly capable at taking me down, I'm not against tasering, but still its a kid. My biggest concern of this is that why were there only three people trying to control the kid? I know if I saw a guy beating a girl, its fkn morally correct to attempt to help right? But hey what do I know I'm not American.

  • @TheDenzil95 Thank you for your comment. Yea, it was a kid, but the kid was not stopping beating on the girl. Why was there only three people on him? because that's who was there at the time when he attacked the girl in the school office. He wouldn't let her go, was on top of her punching her in the face and beating her head into the ground, so he got to ride the lighting...if you expand my description (if you didn't) I provide a lot of information not reported by the reporter

  • @thebatman101069 I did read your information that you provided, it is obvious you have a strong connection with this incident, I don't feel sorry for the kid, he's obviously a psycho and deserved being tasered but I'm just saying that I do not believe that 3 people could not physically detain him. Him on top of the poor girl, two people grab an arm each the 3rd has his neck then pull him off. He isn't going anyway where or doing anything in that position. I mean it is a bit unusual isnt it?

  • @TheDenzil95 the strong connection is that I am a police officer and I try to explain that sometimes police work is not pretty.

Your solution sounds easy, but it's not the movies where cops just pull some fancy kung fu move and the person just complies. People in a rage and beating on someone, they're not that easy to control... Look up the video "Man fights with 3 Police Officer's"

  • @thebatman101069 I don't base things on the movies ok. I have been in the same situation but I was beating a guy not a girl, two lecturers raged me off him and held me back while they saw to the poor lad. My actions were disgraceful but I don't see how this kid who is/was lighter than me, could not be over powered by three people. I mean this isn't going anywhere because it happened and that's that, all I'm saying is that I wish I was in the room to see it, so I know what happened.

  • @TheDenzil95 well the kid weighed 200 pounds, he was a big kid, and yes you said it, you weren't there to see it. I have to go on what was reported by the school administrators and the police reports, which was they tried prying him off, could not, so to end the attack the kid was tased to stop him. Point is it was justified because they couldn't control him and he was harming someone else. SO...ZAPPITY ZAP ZAP.

  • Too stately. Aka wit I mean is can't hear that much

  • @marcusnicko No "guy" tased him. A female did. Asnd yes, the kid was that big. And they DID try to grab the kid first. did you even bother to read the articles on this or just made your own assumptions?

  • @keepitkoolman did you not read the description or the notes inside the video? THREE adults couldn't control this kid, he was huge and out of control, so to keep the little girl from further harm SHE tased him.

  • I'm pretty sure a 30 year old school officer would be strong enough to restrain an 11 year old with his STRENGTH instead of his TASER
