It really makes me sad how most Mormons leave when there teens. I have 2 brothers and they were both really nice and beloved in the church. Keep in mind these are my older brothers. Anyway both of them left because of there friends. Also they never said you can drink a hot drink.

@MrFastestboyalive It makes me sad that children are indoctrinated and pressured to believe. Of course it will be common for teens to leave the church, by then hopefully they have looked well enough into the history of the church and have developed critical skills that help them to recognize the difference between dogma and truth. I applaud them for actually caring about what is true or not.

@TheEriyad Praying to a fictional character is not the way to start. Looking for real world evidence that proves the BOM is real, that is where you start. That being said, there is no proof for the BOM that I have seen and the fact that there are no plates to examine makes it even worse. You should also read the description before you jump to any more conclusions.

There are no archeological evidences for the Book of Mormon. Not a single metal coin, sword, shield, spearhead, plate, machine, helmet, breast plate, etc has been found even though all those things are mentioned in the Book of Mormon. Metal artifacts are very durable and easy to find with metal detectors. In fact the Native Americans did not even use metal. They used stone tools. Also whatever happened to the buildings & cities that the Nephites, Lamenites, and Jaradites built?

You can live without alcohol tobacco, tea, or coffee because those can be really addicting and very hard to give up.This is why some Mormon’s don’t drink soda. In other words they clearly should have already answered their own questions about God's wonders according to the scriptures. It just to the point that if they accepted it or not.
