Week Three

So, I edited mine this week because I was having major problems with cameras and nonsense and once the first one got cut off I just gave up and used whatever I could pull together. I will post one that is full length with no cuts to another one of the songs hopefully by tomorrow.

I do not like watching myself in this one. I think I thought about my movement too much, which I have been finding that I do often these days. I am not moving unless I am over thinking my steps, maybe that is shadowing my life right now. I am checking to make sure there is no cliff before I take the next step. I struggle to just be right now in my life. I hope you all can still learn something from the videos I post, we all struggle together. You guys are all so brilliant, I am thankful the project has collaborated all of our energies and I want to move with every single one of you at some point!!!

Questions:

Honest Dancers...
You can pop a balloon with a pen in your hand, but what would make that more interesting. People that are able to abstractly create while envisioning a reality are what makes an honest dancer to me. People who are capable of both exploring and risk being vulnerable. I think we all have what the capability of being honest movers, we just need to uncover our insecurities first.

The future of dance...
Space. I see space in our future. I want to explore and create within spaces and have dance be more than just being in a studio learning choreography. Slightly a mix of both Site specific mixed with complete freedom of movement. I think we are tangled in standard structure, and I see us transcending into a new standard.

Week Four...
I want to be changed. I want you to change me. I want someone to channel people that inspire them, and then blow me away. Its not about deadlines and getting your video done and taking the easy way out. Its about challenging your creative outlook and motivating yourself to create. You dont have to move, its something you are privileged enough to do every day. Fill it with passion. Fill it with you. I already know week fours topic, so its not fair if I discuss exactly what it is. But I feel complete with how this project ends. I hope you will too. :)
