  • Remember, he is offside when the referee stops the game and awards an indirect free- kick.

  • If the defenders were pulling a hard trap when the ball was played while at the same time the forward was running full speed forward, it is conceivable that he would be that far past the defense by the time the camera pans. Don't know if he was or wasn't, but I've seen enough video of offside/nonoffside calls that looked that far offside that turned out on slow motion to actually be onside to not be sure from that video. Need a better angle and slow replay that has ball and player together

Complaining because the rules weren't enforced means you care about FAIR PLAY.

So no. It *wasn't* a good finish. If we, impact supporters, are going to lose a game at least let's make it in FAIR terms. But we haven't lost, it WAS offside.

  • RAILHAWKS BABY! Bitch about offsides all you want but that was a damn good finish!

  • offside by like 1000000000000 miles, you got be kidding me, SCAAAAMMMMM!!!

ALLEZ L'IMPACT, AVANTI ULTRAS, railhawks swallow!!!

  • Offside

    Railhawks suck

  • Although it's all assumption since we don't actually see the forward's position at the moment the pass was made, it is quite impossible to consider him being in an onside position considering the lead he's got over the defenders.

In an interview after the game, Heinemann (goal scorer) was asked if he remained onside on the play. He replied: "I believe I did" and laughed. Bad call.

  • Offside !
