You've got to have a vision. Every business needs a vision, the vision is so strong, so incredible it pulls the owner and team to overcome challenges and obstacles that happen in every business. If you have a vision, you will always have the determination to succeed no matter how tough business situations may get.

Once you have the vision, the next thing to do is have a purpose or a mission statement. The mission statement guides the team and the customers. The vision is the why, the mission is the how.

Next, determine the code of culture of your business. Promote your code of culture. Determine your code of culture first before hiring people and hire on attitude, not on skill. Skills can be developed while attitude is forged.
