This video shows 3 different effects, stop-time motion, pulses (two types according to bass beat or hand clap), and forward/backward motion using the techniques learned in my tutorial "Grooving to the Beat!" at http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?t=30836

  • ok I probably sound like an idiot.. but at 0:20 how did you get it to flash like that? its probably really simple but ive just got Corel Video Studio and Im trying to work things out :)

  • I simply added Brightness and Contrast to the main timeline video.

Create key frames for the hand claps: 00:00:02.09, 00:00:03.05, etc. Remember you'll need a key frame before and after each of the cue points, e.g.,

    00:00:02.08, 00:00:02.09, 00:00:02.10.

Change Brightness to 100 for each cue point. And use 0 Brightness before and after each cue point.

    So

    00:00:02.08 - 0 Brightness

    00:00:02.09 - 100 Brightness

    00:00:02.10. - 0 Brightness

    Select OK.

  • Why dont u upload the tutorial cuz i couldnt find it :S

  • Sorry I haven't answered sooner, but please see the link in the upper right gray box by clicking on (more info). Unfortunately when I try to post a link in a reply, it won't accept it.

  • BTW, I updated the link so that it now points to the extra tutorial that's represented by this video. Sorry for any confusion!

  • I use the same software how come everytime i upload my video quality is very poor and without the high quality button ..the quality after using ulea dis the worst.

  • Harbertom,

What codec are you rendering your video in? I'm assuming you're using the default .wmv that VideoStudio 11 offers. Don't use it!

YouTube actually re-renders your uploaded video into Flash video (and wmv doesn't bode well). Also, YouTube recommends using an mpeg4 format with the following:

    Divx or Xvid codec

    video resolution: 480 x 360 or higher

    mp3 audio.

See my tutorial at the Ulead User to User forum on how to install the free Xvid codec.
