If I was gonna carry a .45 then it would probably be a Glock 21 just because it's allot lighter and more reliable while also cheaper than most 1911's.

i love my 1911....but what alot of people fail to see is that all pistols no matter what caliber or style are inadequate....every pistol has limited range and stopping power...if you want a for shure 1 hit kill them dead as shit gun....buy a howitzer.

I've said from the beginning that I personally like the 9mm but was just stating that other agencies who have alot more field experience than I do use the .40.

I carry 9mm+P because there is no noticeable difference for my purposes. I'm not going to be shooting through cars or multiple walls. Though I do have a few rounds in case I ever need to...

@wtfdudenotcool101 thats funny, cause i have both calibers. my +p 9mm stuff im getting 1417 fps (chrono) that equates a calculated energy of 520 ft lbs. All from a 115 grain bullet. the best ive ever gotten with my my 40 on the chrono is1244 fps using 155 grain hollow points, that equates to a calculated energy of 503 ft lbs. thats using my best two ammos for each. and if nine sucks sooo bad, then why was it the recommended sidearm to carry on lion hunts until the 357 sig....
