I bet the guy who first thought of this (probably by the name of Mobius) really thought he was onto something, and he was, in a sense of crossing dimensions, however temporarily. But there is still little use.
About as useful as a Klein bottle.

They are good for conveyor belts. For more just look up. For the rest ask Wikipedia:
