6 Meters - "The Magic Band"

Six Meters (50-54 MHz) is also known as "The Magic Band" by HAMS who enjoy the magic of HF-type long range communication on VHF during the summer Sporadic-E opening. The trick is you never know when there will be an opening so you have to be ready for the action when the band conditions open!

Hey, do you know of any single band 6 meter rigs for sale anymore? MFJ used to have a bear bones one.. I really want to get into 6 meters but not wanting to buy another HF rig as my HF rig does not have 6 meters.

Love the 857. Got one in the school shack and I love it. Need to get a 6 meter antenna up soon so I can have some fun. Beacons will let you know when the band is open. :)
