I'm buryat. Russians persecuted the buryat people a lot in the past, it's true. During the 1930s the whole buryat elite were exterminated. Unfortunately, minorities are still persecuted in Russia.

Actually there are 2 more Buddhist republics in Russia- Kalmikiya and Tuva.I'm very happy that Buddhism has revived in todays Russia.Buddhism is the most peacefull religion and the most wise philosophy! OM MANI PADME HUM
