Hey BARNERS do you have run stop in your defense? Auburn's run defense is horrible and will cost you the Iron bowl this year. QB is ??????????? HORRIBLE!!! Maybe in 10 years you can piece together a team that belongs on the same field with ARKANSAS( you didn't belong on the field with them this year) but never against ALABAMA! But at the end of the day, there is not a lot of difference in the rankings, and not enough to be significant. The major difference in the two schools rankings is that Auburn's academic reputation is in general better than Alabama's but Alabama has about twice the endowment. Both schools are decent, and both have certain peaks of excellence that differ. It's just that in general, the disciplines that we excel in are by far the most rigorous. That's what you don't seem to understand.

There are a few places where UA is a bit ahead of Auburn as well, but all in all, Auburn has a lot larger number of nationally and internationally respected departments than does UA. The disciplines where AU has clear, definitive advantage tend to be by far the most rigorous disciplines. AU is the state's science and technology flagship and always will be.
