It's impossible to say which is more beautiful the Villandry Chateau or its gardens.

This castle, and its grounds, are a perfect image of elegant renaissance style design.

Jean Le Breton tore down an older 12th century castle here saving only the tower keep, he then built a new chateau around the old keep in the early 1500s the current size and style of gardens are a more modern addition to the property.

The intricate and enchanting gardens are immaculately kept and stretch far across the property.

On a sunny summer day it's easy to spend hours wandering through the Villandry Chateau grounds.
