Though it is true that Grant owned one slave and released him in 1865 which was three years after Lee freed his slaves. Grant also used slaves owned by his father in law.
Grant actually, was the last president to own a slave.

No -- the US revolution was to establish god given rights of life liberty and pursuit of happines for ALL men, who are created equal.

The Confederacy bragged- BRAGGED - that they were based "on the opposite idea-- that the great moral truth of Almighty God is for white men to enslave the black man" (paraphrased)

Go read the Cornertstone speech -- many Confederate leaders, Davis and Stephens for two -- proudly declared that the Confederacy was based on Slavery as ordained by God.

States rights my ass. State rights to enslave others, sell children, rape women, burn men, whip everyone. That's what they meant by states rights dumb fuck.

The South hated states right dumb fuck -- when that meant states could reject slavery -- or have their own laws about escaped slaves dumb fuck.

So it wasnt states rights idiot - it was slave power, slave profit, and slave pussy.

just another 'd*** f***' who has forgotten or never knew about all the northern states that allowed and partook in slavery. The Emancipation Proclamation outlawed slavery ONLY in the states that fought against the north, with no mention or consideration to the slaves states in the north or to those northern held slaves. In fact, Grant owned slaves LONG AGTER Lee, who freed his before the end of the war.

buttboy -- sorry moron, EP freed the slaves in the South because the South dumb fuck was under martial law due to the war idiot.

Lincoln freed ALL the slaves by the 13th.

Wrong about Lee and Grant dumb fuck -- another kooky wet dream by the Southern Scum Myth Maker.

Actually, every northern state except Delaware held state conventions outlawing slavery within their borders before the war. The only states that didn't were the border and southern states and Delaware. I assume you know that right?

No dumb fuck -- secede all you fucking want -- just do it legally -- not by violence.

You can divorce your wife retard-- but you can't shoot her and threaten to shoot her family dumb fuck.

The South lost the election -- and the slave rapers shit their pants.

They were used to beating up women, selling children, and burning men -- thats what slave rapers do dumb fuck.

They tried that shit with LIncoln and he kicked their ass.

Wow three "dumb fucks"....that's got to be a personal record for you.
It must really bring meaning to your words to add such vulgarity especially to people who thus far have shown you nothing but courtesy.

Then again I suppose that's all in the upbringing huh?

It is the same thing...the same act..the same crime, but one is called good and the other called bad. So I guess that we could say that the Americans "started" the war with the British...unless you would want to bring in the old double standard again.

The broadest point though is the reality that we are left with. And that being a U.S. victory, with C.S. surrendering. Had the south of won, the glorious rebellion instead would be called the just revolution. Similarly, had Britain won and we were now British, then we would think differently about the failed American rebellion. The southern cause lost though and never achieved it's desired end. The southern cause is left as a failed rebellion with the U.S. reestablishing it's rights
