@RemovdSande11 You're wrong, Prokoviev was a great film composer, Korngold the child prodigy of the XXth century has put his classical techniques into film music, John Williams uses always "classical" music in his work and he also composed terrific concert works;

@RemovdSande11 I know, thats what I said.
-
ofcourse, but at the end of the day movie composers and classical composer can not be compared.
-
@RemovdSande11 I understand that, but can you define a real composer? In terms of the film making business he is indeed a genius, to produce so many scores so quickly that still manage to move people is remarkable. But no, in terms of standing him next to mozart no chance. It's all about context. Film composing is different to composing for yourself no? And dont forget his innovations. It isn't laughable, it is their opinion. No matter how silly it is, we must deal with it no?

hey there. Hans Zimmer is a good movie composer. I say he is overrated because many people who are not familiar with "real" classical composers think this man is a "genius", which of course is laughable.
-
@RemovdSande11 overrated? Don't just say he is overrated and then not give any credible reasoning for your judgement. Otherwise it's just a stupid opinion.
