Patient 0 is a fully immersive live action real life, multiplayer, first person shooter, role-playing game.

If you ever wanted to get off the couch and play your favourite first person shooter video game for real, this is the event for you.

Patient 0 is the first game event by IRL Shooter and it will blow your mind.

For a limited time from October we are taking over a large, industrial building on the outskirts of Melbourne, Australia just for your gaming pleasure.

From the moment you purchase your ticket, you will be taken on a journey into a completely realised universe of our design, culminating in you and 5 of your friends having to fight your way through a zombie infested building, solving puzzles, collecting information and trying to stay alive.

Unlike other live action zombie shooter games, we are creating a brand new weapons system that will keep an accurate score of your game-play; how many kills, headshots, body shots, misses, friendly fire etc. So not only do you have to survive and complete missions but your game will be ranked and your score matters.

Imagine the most realistic first person shooter video game, in real life.

How long is it running?

Patient 0 starts on Halloween, the 31st of October 2012 and runs for a month. We intend to tour the event around Australia, so if you can't be in Melbourne, let us know on the registration page and we might just bring it to you!

This first instalment in the I.R.L Shooter universe is only going to play out once, then we change the story. It's going to be up to the players to put all the pieces together, find all the hidden information and try to work out who is behind it all!

Is there minimum/maximum group size?

Yes, the standard minimum group size is 6 players per unit and the maximum group is....6. This is a multi-player game so you're going to have to play as a group. If you think you're tough enough to run this by yourself then get in touch.

Who can play the game?

As Patient 0 is a physical game, you will need to be in relatively good health because you're going to be running away like scared babies from the horde of zombies!

Because this game is full of horror content and probably quite a bit swearing, we are going to impose a 16 years and over rule. Sorry but there are no exceptions to this.

Hey guys i currently live in melbourne and will definetly attending this ill be going three with ticket purchase for me and 6mates in the next week,i would just like to know a few things,1.will it be in teams of 6 or can you do like a 2squad round? 2. Will use be staying in melbourne or is it just like a one time offer thing,mainly because i love paintball and not so much laser tag but would like to have this as a regular thing and i have multipule mates with the same ideas

1 - It can only be played as a team of 6 so you will to have a full team to book.

2 - We will be in Melbourne until the 21st of December and then we will move on to Sydney. We will be back in Melbourne again in around a year or so with a different story.

3 - All zombies will continue to emit damage even after you kill them so you will need to keep at a distance at all times.

4 - Due to customs issues we had to loose the recoil, which upsets us to no end. We had airsoft barrels on order from the US that had a gas recoil system in them, however after cutting them in half and sending them in 2 packages customs stopped them and will not release them. So now we have no time to build our own system.

Something cool to put on the zombies would be vibrating sensors. That way, when they are shot wherever on their body, it vibrates and tells the actor/actress how to react. For example, if it was a headshot, a sensor on the actors/actresses head would vibrate, and they would thrash their head backwards. :)

That's US customs for ya. Stupid isn't it? I am glad to see you got it up and going. From what I have seen it is going to be awesome. Just out of curiosity and not to ask you to give any secrets away, are you planning something else besides zombies with this IRL Shooter? I would think that a military type game would suit this well too. AKs for the bad guys perhaps?
