Desmond is one of my fav characters next to sawyer. He is so hot, and I love his story.

oooppps I stand corrected, I meant "The Constant" from S4

maybe the island or Jacob gave him that gift to help extend Charlie's life because Charlie is the only person who can decode the jamming signal in the Looking Glass. this way, Widmore's freighter team (Faraday, Miles) can all make it back to the island. we'll see the big picture when the season ends, we'll see Charlie's death won't be all in vain.

Ok, I think I would need to rewatch Flashes Before Your Eyes from season 4.

Ok, except Locke didn't become paralyzed AGAIN when turned the wheel and left the island. He broke his leg from falling down the well, but he still had use of his legs when he exited in Tunisia.
After season 3, Desmond is still on the island, but we don't hear anything about his premonitions ever again.

hmmm...he doesn't have "it" when hes off island? like Locke is paralyzed in the real world, Jack being a trainwreck off island.

Yeah but what about the other flashes? where he was seeing Charlie die.. they just stopped.
