  • how'd it go?

  • @Mentent09 very well. thanks for asking. the gliss took longer than 4 beats, and luckily everyone waited!!

  • HI Jeremiah, yes, I'm doing what could be called a lip glissando. But it involves more than just a lip, since the throat and tongue are involved in creating the gliss effect. If you are interested, I could show you how to do it in a Skype lessons. Let me know.... David

  • @DavidGarnet I sent you a message through your inbox... not sure if you have received it. I would like to do the skype lesson!

  • Ahh sorry I didn't really state my question...

How can I practice the glissando that doesn't require much finger work?

  • Sounds great! Umm about the gliss... I think you just demonstrated what I originally wanted to learn. Was what you did a "lip glissando"? I would like to learn to do it without the whole sliding fingers as i know the lip gliss is more beneficial as you can do it on any clarinet without having to know the instrument well.

I am currently unsure on where to start exactly and my teacher isn't explaining very well...
