Total newb right here, and I just learned what the ODST in Halo 3: ODST stands for.

Ahh, glad you've moved on to ODST. Mine is still incomplete and I wouldn't mind some tips.

What did you do last night,
was kat driving the drop pods, again??

@MythicTyrant I think I know what you are referring to, do I not? :P
-
"that's racist" lol
-
Funny you should mention that...

@SHADOWSTRIKE1 Lol hahaha nice one, both your guides are awesome. I'd honestly love to see the two of you do a co-op campaign on legendary, i wonder how quick you guys would smash through it.

@brodeurheaton hot chick? are you kidding, she's like 45 and try to look cool.
I was looking forward to this, but I was disappointed to see you skipping battles. To me, a good Legendary guide would show players how to handled each encounter, rather than simply bypass them. Speed runs and your own Mythic guides are good for showing how much can be simply run past, but there's a lack of guides that illustrate good combat tactics. I had hoped yours would take that approach.

And to me, a good Legendary guide demonstrates the best methods the author considers to be best for getting the player through the mission. The battles that were skipped were explained. There's no sense in placing the player in any addition danger if it isn't necessary. Furthermore, killing Brutes and Grunts in one section really isn't much different than doing it in the next. The guides exist as a point of reference to help get players through the mission... (continued)...

I always encourage players to improvise and go "off the beaten" path to play the game the way they see fit, and this has been my frame of mind since the beginning (four years ago). My first guide did exactly what you're referring to... killed nearly every enemy in every section. You know what that is? Boring. How many times can you see me head shot a Grunt or combo kill a Brute before it gets old? My advice? Use the guides as a point of reference...

... but play the game whichever way suits you best. If you'd rather take it slow and steady and annihilate legions of foes, do that. If you'd like to speed things up a bit and skip battles that I tend to fight out, do that. And when people start paying me to write them "custom guides" between my channel, community work, full time job, and cross country motorcycle rides, I'll do that :-)
