Convoy to Kampala

Taking inspiration from Convoy to Cape Town in 2008 a group of young activists from the White Ribbon Alliance - including top Ugandan pop star Bobi Wine - travelled through Western, Central and Uganda using skills in music, art, dance, drama and communication to raise awareness on maternal mortality under the theme "Youth for Safe Motherhood -- Play Your Part.

Currently in Uganda 16 women die every day from pregnancy and childbirth related complications, this totals 1 in 25 women that give birth. Urgent action is needed.
