first pitch hover pitch curves are 49 49 50 75 100 second is 49 49 55 75 100 which one looks more stable ? but 49 49 55 75 100 is not to kewl when switching to idle up.
so i use 3 pitch settings on idleup
for normal mode i use for hovering 49 49 55 75 100
idle one is aka second normal mode for forward flight better transitions 49 49 50 75 100
idle two i use 0 25 50 75 100
hope you can understand why i use these 3 positions

  • If you put loc-tite on a nyloc not it will ruin the nylon nut making it brittle inturn defeating the purpose of using a nyloc nut.. You just replace the nyloc nut when it starts wearing out, never use loc-tite on nyloc nuts.

  • @bayareaheli

well said and thank you my friend

  • I strip down the entire heli EVERY single nut & bolt, and place blue locktite on every nut & bolt that is metal on metal...its about vibrations causing them to loosen...doesn't matter which way they face.

  • You are missing purple loctite for the smaller hardware also with Nylon lock nuts a dab of ca on them will give you a little added security as well. As for the tail rotor shaft I use a dab of green on the shaft.

  • that was a very stable hover really nice bird

    happy weekend to you all

  • @wcwickedclown your welcome

    happy flying ;)

  • @IvanBarb4 yeah it will destroy servo cases, i learned that the hard way too lol

since then i use a toothpick to dab a bit in the hole when mounting servos or use lock washers

  • @bayareaheli

I have had loctite touching the servo mount part of the servo (little over flow..way too much loctite) and your right Dave it made it brittle and the mounts crumbled apart..NO!! loctite with nylon nuts!! (the nylon IS the loctite)

  • @wcwickedclown

No...just metal on metal, the clone kits are slapped together in the factory, sometimes they use loctite (and lots of it) others they dont, so its best to redo ALL of them for peace of mind...this also allows you to check if the bolts are holding mechanically or if the loctite is holding them in.
