i'm a market manager for food lion and you should address your complaint to the distributors instead of food lion..such as holly farms! they provide the chicken halfway frozen and full of blood..the red meat is completely up to standards and so is pork..i suggest you get a new freezer or shop at burger kind if you want it your way...food stamps cannot provide you with the best meat possible!

FL would have brought the house down on ABC if the basis of the whole piece ( that they were breaking health codes left and right to cut their losses with food that legally should have been thrown out) was all lies! FL didn't even sue them on those grounds!!

However, this still doesn't explain why FL didn't sue on the grounds of false allegations, defamation of character and a million other things their lawyers would have dredged up if ABC was lying about the shady shit going down. They couldn't. They could only bust ABC for misrepresenting themselves as honest employees when they were.......

@louspintoo Thats only half the story. Food Lion was the only American grocery store at the time that wasnt a member of the Food and Commerical Workers Union. That is the only reason ABC was there to do a hit job on Food Lion.. F.C.W.U. sent THUGS(mobsters) to the store I worked at to cause trouble. I should know I worked in the meat dept at that time, and will testify that ABC lies. GREEDY UNION FUCKERS!! The union pres at the time said "if they wont join us were gonna bring them down".

I can't believe this is still drawing heat about a statement made three years ago. I really don't care what they do because I shop at Kroger.
